Project Status

May 2000

The Quality Education Fund, established by the Hong Kong SAR Government to promote quality education, approved a grant of HK$900,000 to further develop and promote Quadrille to all schools in Hong Kong. For current activities, please go to the activities page.

October 1999

Work is in progress to develop the next version of the system. The major features to be implemented in the second version will be a user-friendly interface for teachers and instructors. It can be divided into two parts:

  • a question creator which provides an easy-to-use tool for teachers and instructors to enter and edit questions
  • a score reporter which provides a convenient tool for teachers and instructors to query and obtain students' score and statistics

September 1998

The first version was completed in September 1998. It has since being used by all students and lecturers of the first-year Complementary Studies subjects:

COMP1110 Computer Literacy

COMP1120 Computer Applications in Business

Each year, there are around 1300 students in total taking these subjects.

You can find a demonstration version of Quadrille on the demo page.
